Connection to A Personal Learning Objective

'Social influences are also essential in shaping how we use new media, with whom, and for what purposes. Relationship stage is a factor: early in relationships, we stick to the media in which we started. As relationships progress, we expand into others. Personality styles matter. Shy and anxious people may prefer online media, while those who are sociable to begin with may gravitate towards any medium that allows more opportunities to interact with others. Culture matters. 'From Personal Connections in the Digital Age NANCY K. BAYM

I agree about Baym's idea, I feel like people are very sick to the media, right now, because people are always look at their phones in everywhere, sometimes, there are no messages or emails, people just like to look at their phones by no reasons. Also one very interesting thing is this summer over half of the world people are starting playing Pokemon Go, include myself, I know it is not real, but when you play it, it was so fun and also Pokemon is one of my favorite animation when I was little. Also I think 'like' button is a very good design, a lot of shy person like me, prefer to click that and I think this is better than saying something to somebody.

One connection:  7.Why people like using media and social media, is that really helpful in our life?

Baym answered my question in some way, but not very exactly,I was did a performance art during my Junior studied at School Of Visual Arts, I gathered around 25 people at union square and I asked them to hand in hand, then made a big circle, I asked them to doing something in the center of the circle, because I want them to have 30 minutes without their phone and relax, think about something, also I want to see how many people will involved with us, unfortunately, there are one person interested about this and she lead us did some Yoga. After this, I feel like NewYorker are very busy for their own life, they don't care about what happened around them, they just looked up their phones and walk fast away.

here is my performance art video.
