This work is based on Meshes of the Afternoon, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs6vYjwEIy4, this is an experimental movie. For my video, is about my night dream but based on experimental movie style, I want to show a feeling of my night dreams.
This is so beautifully done, Wei! I love how you used the black and white aesthetic and layering to refer to your dreams. It definitely gives me the feeling of peering into someone's dream.
This is a BEAUTIFULLY made video! The choice of black and white is very powerful, and your use of light and shadow and layering has successfully created a sinister ambiance. Coupled with the music, I feel like I'm brought to a completely different time and space. I wonder about how you can explore the notion of time and make films that seem like they are from the past, but with modern technology (iMovie, FinalCut).
It's great! I like b/w tone. It creates a certain strange mood and matches to the theme. It reminds me of surreal film in the early 20th century. The layers are sensibly overlapped, adding the combined romantic and scary feeling.
